# Change Tracking

Change tracking synchronization uses the built-in Change Tracking features supported by Microsoft SQL Server.  Net changes are queried and applied to the ingestion store each time a synchronization occurs.  This is a highly optimized process given only changed data is queried.  

Change Tracking requires the underlying RDBMS have the feature enabled prior setting up the synchronization with Verb.
